Monkeys at Polonnaruwa

I was walking down a paved pathway in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka, when I came across two monkeys grooming each other. These monkeys sat on the edge of the pathway, seemingly oblivious to the many tourists passing them. To Sri Lankans, monkeys are "normal", and so most tourists pass by the monkeys without a second thought. I am from the Southwestern United States.... we don't have monkeys back home. As I approached within a meter (3 feet) of the monkeys to snap a photo, one looked up at me as if to say, "What you lookin' at, bub?"
